Zoning code changes under consideration in Ulysses

ULYSSES, NY (607NewsNow) — Ulysses lawmakers are considering changing the town’s zoning code.

The new code would include definitions for data centers and cryptocurrency facilities. During a meeting on March 24, Ulysses Town Supervisor Katelin Olson said the move would replicate another town in Tompkins County.

“We’re kind of following in the Dryden steps,” she said. “This is very similar to how Dryden has handled it.”

On Feb. 19, Dryden lawmakers agreed to change the town’s zoning code. The move banned the development of data centers and cryptocurrency facilities.
