NEW YORK (607NewsNow) — It was a rough weekend for the Yankees and Mets.

Both teams were swept on the road. The Yankees lost three games against the Rays, and the Mets dropped three games against the Athletics.

“It’s just a bad stretch,” Mets Manager Carlos Mendoza said after Sunday’s loss. “You got to continue to trust the players.”

Yankees Manager Aaron Boone shared similar postgame sentiments.

“Bad weekend for us, obviously,” Boone said. “We got to find a way to get over the hump.”

Both teams will look to snap their five-game skids tonight. The Yankees host the Angels at 7:05 p.m. and the Mets visit the Dodgers at 10:10 p.m.
