CAROLINE, NY (607NewsNow) — Two cars, one collision in the town of Caroline.

State Police say a Ford F-150 rear-ended a Honda Civic around 8:30 p.m. Monday on Slaterville Road. 30-year-old Keanu Thompson was trying to turn the Honda into a driveway but was disabled in the westbound lane after being struck by 39-year-old Abraham David, who troopers say was following too closely behind.

A Wegmans truck driven by 57-year-old Slobodan Ignjatovich “crested a hill and was unable to observe the disabled Honda in the roadway in time to stop. The operator attempted evasive action but was unable to avoid striking the Honda,” troopers said.

David was ticketed at the scene. According to State Police, there were no serious injuries.
