Wanted Cortland man arrested in Chemung County

ELMIRA, NY (607NewsNow) – A Cortland man awaits extradition to Indiana.

Eric Smith was arrested in Chemung County around 5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24 after authorities received word that he was at the county probation office.

The 42-year-old is wanted in the Hoosier State for threatening to commit a forcible felony and impersonating a police officer.

Smith is being held in Chemung County Jail as a fugitive from justice.
