Voters say yes to 2026-27 school budgets across Southern Tier

ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — School districts across the Southern Tier are celebrating today after voters showed up at polls and approved spending plans.

Budgets for the 2026-27 academic year passed in Ithaca, Dryden, Lansing, Newfield, Trumansburg, Groton, Homer, Spencer-Van Etten, Owego-Apalachin, Cincinnatus, McGraw, Marathon, Trumansburg, and Horseheads. 

Cortland’s school budget required a 60% vote for approval. The current number is 69.5%. 

Other propositions on district ballots Tuesday, including the purchase of new buses in Dryden and Homer, were also approved by voters.
