ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – A popular grill company is recalling an accessory.

According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, a variety of Weber brushes have metal bristles that can detach, posing an ingestion hazard and risk of serious internal injuries.

The recall applies to six models of brushes with plastic or wooden handles measuring between 12 and 21 inches long. There have been at least 38 reports of detached bristles, including four people who required medical treatment to remove them from their digestive tract or throat.

Approximately 3.2 million were sold online and in stores at Lowe’s, Home Depot, Ace Hardware, and Target, as well as online at Amazon and Weber.com from 2011 through 2026.

Consumers should stop using the brushes and contact Weber for a replacement.
