ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – A product sold at Trader Joe’s has been recalled.

According to the USDA, 20-ounce plastic bag packages of Trader Joe’s Chicken Fried Rice with stir-fried rice, vegetables, seasoned dark chicken meat, and eggs could be contaminated with a foreign material, specifically glass.

The problem was discovered after four consumer complaints about glass found in the product, though there have been no confirmed injuries due to consumption to date.

The frozen, not-ready-to-eat product, produced by Ajinomoto Foods North America, has Best-By dates ranging between September 8 and November 17 this year, and officials are concerned it may still be in consumers’ freezers. Packages will bear the establishment number P-18356 inside the USDA mark of inspection.

Affected products should be thrown away or returned for a refund.
