Tompkins County seeks applicants for Ethics Advisory Board vacancy

ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – Tompkins County is looking to fill a vacancy on its Ethics Advisory Board.

One seat is available for a term ending December 31, 2029.

The board consists of five members appointed by the County Legislature, including one legislator. The body meets at least once a year, and additionally, within 30 days of receiving a written complaint.

“Public trust in government depends on transparency and accountability,” said Board Chair and Legislator Iris Packman. “The Ethics Advisory Board plays an important role in helping ensure our local government operates with integrity. We encourage residents who are committed to ethical public service and strengthening public confidence in government to consider applying.”

Applications are available in the Tompkins County Legislature Office at 121 E. Court Street in Ithaca, or on the county website. Completed applications must be delivered to the Legislature Office or submitted via email at jcree@tompkins-co.org.

The deadline for submissions is April 15.
