DRYDEN, NY (607NewsNow) — A new degree program is coming to Tompkins Cortland Community College.

Starting in spring 2027, students can study cybersecurity. According to the school, the program will include courses on artificial intelligence, ethical hacking, and other focus areas.

“Cybersecurity is a versatile field with a growing number of career options, and all of them demand an educated workforce,” Associate Professor of Computer Science David Green said.

The cybersecurity program is part of the larger SUNY Reconnect program, which allows New York State residents between 25 and 55 years of age to earn their degree for free.
