OWEGO, NY (607NewsNow) – Dining options are expanding in Owego.

On October 22, officials will cut the ribbon a new fast-food restaurant.

“We’re excited to celebrate the opening of Taco Bell right here in Owego,” said Tioga County Chamber of Commerce CEO, Sabrina Henriques. “Tioga County isn’t just looking forward, we are charging forward with new growth. This new location represents another step in the right direction, bringing new jobs, investment, and opportunities to our community.”

Located off Route 17C at the site of a former bank, the Taco Bell project was delayed over the summer due to difficulty removing the old vault.

The public is invited to the ribbon-cutting, which begins at 10 a.m. on Wednesday.

The Tex-Mex chain’s store hours will be from 7 a.m. to midnight Thursdays through Sundays, and 7 a.m. to 1 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
