SYRACUSE, NY (607NewsNow) — The Syracuse football team has named its starting quarterback.

Steve Angeli will lead the offense. He played for Notre Dame last season and appeared in the national championship game.

Syracuse opens the season on Aug. 30 against Tennessee. The game will be played at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
