State Police seek ‘quick change artist’ in Lansing

LANSING, NY (607NewsNow) — Troopers in Ithaca are looking for what they call a quick-change artist. 

According to State Police, a woman appears on security cameras trying to confuse an ACE Hardware employee in Lansing by asking to exchange bills. Troopers also say the suspect handed a cashier a fake 10-dollar bill with the word ‘replica’ written on it. The alleged crime happened on July 7, 2025, troopers said.
