CORTLANDVILLE, NY (607NewsNow) – State Police are seeking assistance in a larceny investigation.

On March 25, troopers say a woman entered Marshall’s in Cortlandville around 8:17 p.m. and attempted to conceal merchandise in a shopping bag.

The woman, accompanied by a man, did pay for a pack of men’s T-shirts, but failed to pay for other merchandise authorities say she concealed in a Five Below shopping bag. The suspect denied doing so when confronted, but an employee did reportedly recover some items.
