ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – A former restaurant in Ithaca is rebranding.

On January 18, Mix Kitchen & Bar officially served its final customers, but will soon welcome them back under a new name and menu.

According to a message from owners on the Mix website, the new spot will be called Modern Ohana. It will blend tropical flavors and Asian fusion cuisine, “celebrating the rich and diverse culinary spirit from countries and islands bordering the Pacific Ocean.

Mix opened in 2016 at the former location of Lucatelli’s Ristorante, which shut down in 2013.

Owners confirm they’ll reopen sometime in early to mid-February, and the popular cheesy hash brown casserole from Mix will remain on the breakfast menu.
