Public service to be held Saturday for Lansing school counselor

LANSING, NY (607NewsNow) – Lansing is remembering the life of school counselor Tanya Thompson.

On February 21, all are welcome to attend a Community Service in the Lansing Middle School auditorium in honor of Thompson, who passed away last Wednesday at the age of 53.

The service, led by Pastor Alison Schmied, will be held from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Doors open at 1:30. A celebration of life will immediately follow in the Lansing High School cafeteria and gymnasium.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to the Cancer Research Center of the Finger Lakes.
