ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – Part of a key walking route near Cornell has been shut down.

On June 4, Tompkins County issued an alert that the pedestrian walkway on the Forest Home lower bridge is closed pending evaluation and repair.

Ithaca Town officials say pedestrians are not permitted to use the travel lane to cross the bridge, which is a one-way, and must find an alternate route. The walkway will remain closed until further notice.
