One airlifted after being pinned under tree in Cuyler

CUYLER, NY (607NewsNow) – A person is recovering after a rescue in Cortland County.

On October 18, the Cuyler Fire Department was called to a home around 1 p.m. for a report that someone was injured and pinned underneath a tree in their yard.

According to Cuyler FD, firefighters used a chainsaw to gain access to the victim, who was airlifted to a hospital for treatment.

Multiple agencies assisted the recovery, including the Truxton Fire Department, DeRuyter Fire, Madison County EMS, Tully Medic Car, LifeNet, and the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office.
