No injuries, damage limited after fire at Groton church

GROTON, NY (607NewsNow) – Everyone is safe after a fire in Groton.

On January 3, the Groton Fire Department was dispatched to South Main Street around 12:40 p.m. for a possible structure fire at the Groton Assembly of God Church.

Firefighters determined the blaze was in the attic above the kitchen, went to work extinguishing it, and limited the damage. The Groton Fire Department received mutual aid from crews in Dryden, McLean, and Freeville.
