NEWFIELD, NY (607NewsNow) — A Newfield man has been found guilty.

The Schuyler County District Attorney’s office says Eric Walker now faces three and a half to seven years in state prison. Walker, who’s 43, was convicted of a January 2025 burglary in the town of Hector.

According to the DA Jeremy Hourihan, Walker “was found inside a building on private property, without permission of the homeowner, intending to steal items from the property.”

Prosecutors say Walker didn’t return to court after his trial’s third day and a bench warrant is out for his arrest.
