CORTLAND, NY (607NewsNow) – A product sold at Price Chopper is being recalled.

Company officials say a variety of Horizon Organic Low-Fat Chocolate Milk products may spoil before their best-by date.

The recall, which applies to 12- and 18-packs of 8-ounce milk cartons, was self-initiated after Horizon received consumer complaints about boxes appearing bloated and milk with an unpleasant taste, odor, or texture.

Consumers are advised to discard the product, but keep proof of purchase, including a receipt and any available packaging information. Contact Horizon at (888) 494-3020 to inquire about refund eligibility.
