WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (607NewsNow) — A player for the Mets is gearing up for the World Baseball Classic.

Pitcher Nolan McLean said he’s excited to represent the stars and stripes.

“I’m super fired up,” he said. “Just getting to be a part of that clubhouse, and then also wearing USA across the jersey is pretty special.”

McLean will hit the road Sunday to join his fellow Americans. Team USA will play an exhibition Tuesday against the San Francisco Giants.

In 2025, McLean played several games for the Binghamton Rumble Ponies and Syracuse Mets.
