Mets legend Doc Gooden to appear at tonight’s Rumble Ponies game

BINGHAMTON, NY (607NewsNow) – A legend of New York baseball is coming to the Southern Tier.

On May 8, Dwight “Doc” Gooden will appear at the Binghamton Rumble Ponies game against the Hartford Yard Goats.

Gooden played parts of 16 seasons in Major League Baseball, spending the bulk of his career with the Mets, where he won a Cy Young and the 1986 World Series. Gooden would later win another World Series with the Yankees.

Gates open at 5 p.m., first pitch is 6:07.
