McLEAN, NY (607NewsNow) — The McLean Fire Department will hold a celebration of life for one of their members.

Wayne Chandler was 41 when he died on Aug. 28. According to an obituary from the Perkins Funeral Home, Chandler worked in recent years as a bus driver for the Dryden Central School District, a mechanic, and a fuel delivery driver.

“Wayne loved his family, motorcycles, his trucks and Tahoe, working on vehicles, and seeing what licenses and endorsements he could acquire. He loved being on the go, target shooting, and traveling with family. Being a part of the McLean Fire Department was important to him. Wayne adored his friends and animals.”

A celebration of life will be held on Sept. 27 for the Cortland native at the fire station in McLean from 2:00-6:00 p.m.
