CORTLAND, NY (607NewsNow) – An Onondaga County man is accused of embezzling money from a Cortland auto dealership.

On June 30, State Police arrested Jason Allen, of Liverpool, and charged him with forgery and grand larceny, both felonies.

The investigation began on June 19, and troopers say Allen signed more than $13,000 in referral checks to himself while employed at the dealership, which was reportedly the Royal Auto Group. The payments were intended for customers.

Allen was processed at the State Police barracks in Homer and transported to Cortland County Jail for arraignment.
