ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – The City of Ithaca is losing a longtime pharmacy.

Kinney Drugs, located near Fall Creek in the 500 block of North Cayuga Street, is preparing for its last day in business.

Formerly Northside Pharmacy, the building has housed a neighborhood drug store for over 6 decades. Signs at the site indicate that staff and prescriptions will be transferred to the 2255 North Triphammer Road location in the Triphammer Mall. If customers prefer to have their prescriptions filled elsewhere, they must speak to someone in the pharmacy.

The final day of business is next Thursday, March 5.
