ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – The Herbert F. Johnson Museum of Art has named a new leader.

According to the Cornell Chronicle, Edouard Kopp will begin as the Richard J. Schwartz Director of the Johnson Museum on November 1.

Kopp has spent the last seven years as chief curator for the Menil Drawing Institute in Houston and previously held similar roles at the Harvard Art Museums in Cambridge and the Getty Museum in Los Angeles.

Kopp succeeds Jessica Martinez, who left Cornell in February to join the Corning Museum of Glass as president and executive director. Asian Art Curator has been serving as interim director sing Martinez’ departure.
