Ithaca Rotary Club’s launches 33rd Share the Warmth Campaign

ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – The Ithaca Rotary Club’s 33rd annual Share the Warmth Campaign is underway.

The volunteer group is collecting new or gently used winter clothing for Tompkins County families in need.

Share the Warmth started in 1987 at Cornell and expanded to the county in 1993. This year’s effort includes help from the Dryden and Trumansburg Rotary Clubs, along with partners at Cornell, Ithaca College, Catholic Charities of Tompkins/Tioga, Finger Lakes ReUse, and the United Way of Tompkins County.

Red collection bins are at various locations throughout the county (listed below). Donations will be accepted through December 15. Distribution of collected goods will happen December 8 – 19 at Catholic Charities of Tompkins/Tioga Samaritan Center from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
