Ithaca native signs with New York pro lacrosse team

ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — A local lacrosse player is coming home.

Ithaca native Eli Gobrecht has signed with the New York Atlas of the Premier Lacrosse League. The team primarily competes in Albany.

Gobrecht is a graduate of Ithaca High School and Ithaca College. During his senior collegiate season in 2016, he scored nine goals.

Gobrecht previously played for the Philadelphia Waterdogs, Utah Archers, and Denver Outlaws. He also plays for the San Diego Seals of the National Lacrosse League.
