Ithaca man faces multiple charges after traffic stop in Owego

ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – A traffic stop leads to charges for an Ithaca man.

Timothy Bell was pulled over in Owego last week for failing to yield to an emergency vehicle and not having his headlights on after dark.

According to the Owego Police Department, drugs were allegedly found in the car, which was unregistered and uninsured, and the 45-year-old Bell was driving on a suspended license.

Bell is charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanor aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and a misdemeanor for presenting an invalid insurance card. He was additionally ticketed for six vehicle and traffic violations.

Bell is scheduled to appear in Owego Village Court at a later date.
