Ithaca College announces departure of two deans

ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – Ithaca College is searching for two new administrators.

On June 9, IC Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs Melanie Stein announced the departures of Amy Falkner and Michael Johnson-Cramer.

According to the Ithacan, Falkner, who has been serving as dean of the Park School of Communications since taking over for interim dean Jack Powers in 2022, will leave on June 30. Falkner is moving to North Carolina to be closer to family.

Michael Johnson-Cramer, hired as dean of the School of Business in 2022, is leaving to become dean of the School of Leadership and Management at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. His last day is today.

Belisa Gonzalez, dean of Faculty, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging, is stepping into the interim role at the Park School of Communications. Dean of the Health Sciences and Human Performance School Christina Moylan will serve as interim dean at the Business School.
