Inmate boarding contract under consideration in Tompkins County

ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — The Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office might receive help from a neighboring county.

A proposed resolution would let Seneca County provide inmate boarding services through 2029. Tompkins County would pay Seneca County $110 dollars per day per inmate.

The Tompkins County Legislature will vote on the three-year agreement tonight. Legislators gather at 5:30 p.m.
