Homer Police officer rescues skunk in roadway

HOMER, NY (607NewsNow) – An animal is living its best life thanks to authorities in Homer.

On the morning of April 3, Homer Police responded to James Street for a report that a skunk had a cup stuck on its head and was walking in circles in the roadway.

Officer Jordan Cowen carefully approached the animal and was able to remove the cup without being sprayed. The skunk shared a look with Cowen for a moment before scurrying away.
