ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – Tompkins County health officials seek information about a dog bite in Ithaca.
On August 29, a person at Stewart Park was bitten in the mid-afternoon while trying to separate two dogs.
The biting dog is described as small and brown, and it was tied up at the time of the incident. The person who was bitten did not see the owner.
The Tompkins County Environmental Health Division wants to verify the pup’s vaccination status to rule out the risk of rabies infection and exposure treatment for the victim.
