ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – The Tompkins County Whole Health Department is seeking information about a dog bite.

On March 31, a person was bitten on Cherry Street in the City of Ithaca around 6 p.m.

The biting dog is described as small, possibly a French bulldog or similar breed. The pup was being walked by a white man who may be in his 50s. Health officials want to verify the dog’s rabies vaccination status to rule out post-exposure treatment for the victim.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Environmental Health Division at (607) 274-6688.
