NICHOLS, NY (607NewsNow) — Money is being collected for a Tioga County family.

Organizers hope to raise $20,000 for the family of Dalton Malmstrom, the 18-year-old found dead Monday.

According to the GoFundMe description, “Funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward funeral arrangements and everyday expenses, allowing the Malmstroms to focus on healing and honoring Dalton’s memory. Your generosity will help cover costs that the family never anticipated, and provide much-needed relief as they navigate this difficult period.”

State Police say Malmstrom’s body was found in the Susquehanna River two days after he was reported missing in Nichols.
