Freeville woman accused of commercial theft in Auburn

AUBURN, NY (607NewsNow) – A Tompkins County woman faces a felony in Cayuga County.

Alice Crispell, of Freeville, is accused of stealing over $1,400 worth of merchandise from Lowe’s in Auburn.

On August 26, 2025, deputies responded to 299 Grant Avenue Road around 11:30 a.m. for a theft complaint. Crispell was not found at the scene, and an arrest warrant was issued.

On April 1, the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office received word that the 31-year-old Crispell was set to be released from Seneca County Jail on an unrelated charge. Crispell was taken into custody and charged with grand larceny.

Crispell was arraigned, and bail was set at $1,000 cash.
