Family & Children’s Counseling Services CEO appointed to Rural Health Council

CORTLAND, NY (607NewsNow) — Lisa Hoeschele, CEO and Executive Director of Family & Children’s Counseling Services, has been appointed to the Rural Health Council by Governor Kathy Hochul.

The Rural Health Council within the State Department of Health advises the Commissioner of health on all aspects of rural health care and rural health care delivery including the impact of proposed programs, statutes, regulations, and health care reimbursement policies.

“I look forward to elevating the voices of rural communities and strengthening our ability to deliver coordinated, high-quality behavioral care,” said Hoeschele.

The Rural Health Council also provides reports to the state’s Regional Economic Development Councils on the status of healthcare workforce in rural areas statewide.
