Elmira man killed in bike-RV crash

HORSEHEADS, NY (607NewsNow) — An Elmira man is dead after crash into an RV.

The Chemung County Sheriff’s Office says 75-year-old Timothy Maney was riding his bike on the shoulder of Lake Road in Horseheads Wednesday afternoon when he suddenly entered the driving lane, where he was hit by a 2025 motorhome. Maney was critically injured and died at Arnot Ogden Hospital.

Charges are not being filed against the RV driver; deputies say Maney was at fault.
