Crews tackle loader fire at Cortland dairy farm

CORTLAND, NY (607NewsNow) – Dairy cows are safe after a machine fire in Cortland County.

On August 21, the McLean Fire Department was called to Fouts Farm on Route 222 around 3 p.m. for a reported barn fire.

The source of the blaze was a skid-steer. Firefighters and farm staff dragged the disabled and burning heavy loader out of the structure and extinguished the flames.

No animals were injured.
