CORTLAND, NY (607NewsNow) — A new police dog is coming to the Crown City.

On May 5, the Cortland Common Council unanimously agreed to spend $15,500 on a K9 and related training. The decision was made following the recent death of K9 Officer Max.

Cortland Mayor Scott Steve said the new K9’s name is Atti. Steve said Atti is a “beautiful” small male dog.
