Update: Missing Cortland County man found safely in Tompkins County

Update, 9:55 a.m. Tompkins County Sheriff Derek Osborne says Herbert Robinson has been located in Lansing. Osborne credits use of the Flock camera system, which recorded Robinson’s license plate. The vehicle was spotted at the Mirabito gas station in Lansing around 9:15 a.m. Monday and a deputy confirmed Robinson’s identity.

He is now safely back home in Cortland, Osborne said.


CORTLANDVILLE, NY (607NewsNow) — The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office seeks help from the public in finding someone.

91-year-old Herbert Robinson was last seen Sunday in Cortlandville, and his 2023 Toyota Camry was last spotted in the village of Homer. Deputies say Robinson is often in Cortland and Tompkins counties. If you’ve seen him or his white Camry with the license plate LCH8233, call the Sheriff’s office at 753-3311 or call 911.
