CORTLAND, NY (607NewsNow) – Crews will take a closer look at a historic building in Cortland.

The 1890 House Museum is receiving $7,500 to assess the full extent of water infiltration in the building’s roof and stone façade.

In recent years, the aging structure has had increasing issues with water damage. The study will guide the development of a long-term restoration plan.

The money comes from The Preservation League of New York’s Technical Assistance Grant Program.

The State Theatre of Ithaca has also received a grant award of nearly $20,000. You can read about it here.
