Cornell men’s hockey goalie transfers to Wisconsin

ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — The Cornell men’s hockey team is losing its starting goalie.

Freshman Alexis Cournoyer is transferring to Wisconsin. This past season, Wisconsin appeared in the NCAA national championship game against Denver.

Cournoyer will depart East Hill with some accolades: He was named Ivy League Rookie of the Year and ECAC Goalie of the Year. The Quebec native had a save percentage of .915 in his first season of college hockey.
