Convicted Owego sex offender faces new felonies

OWEGO, NY (607NewsNow) — A convicted sex offender in Owego is going back to jail.

Police say Joseph Florance didn’t update his information with the sex offender registry. The 42-year-old is charged with four felonies:

  • Sex Offender Failed to Report Change of Address (Felony)
  • Sex Offender Failed to Verify within 10 Days (Felony)
  • Level Three Sex Predator Registration Failed to Report 90 Days (Felony)
  • Sex Offender Failed to Provide a Photograph (Felony)

The arrest was made last week “at a residence on Chestnut St.,” police said. Florance was taken to Tioga County jail with bail set at 250 thousand dollars.
