Brooklyn pair charged with attempted grand larceny in Steuben County

TUSCARORA, NY (607NewsNow) — Two people from Brooklyn face charges in Steuben County. 

Sheriff Jim Allard says his office heard from someone on Saturday who said 49-year-old Chengbin Lin and 48-year-old Lingquin Chen took over control of their computer remotely and tried scamming them out of $28,000.

The pair, who allegedly re-entered the US illegally after being deported, are charged with attempted grand larceny and criminal facilitation.
