The Binghamton City Democratic Committee is calling for an investigation into an alleged threat made to State Senator Lea Webb on a social media post about Juneteenth.

A male resident of the Binghamton area is accused of responding, “I’d be proud to hang her from a tree.”

The Binghamton City Democratic Committee, which is sanctioned under the Broome County Democratic Party, says the comment warrants a full threat assessment by law enforcement.
