CORTLAND, NY (607NewsNow) – You can help raise money for a cause this weekend in Cortland County.

On July 11, Chris’ Run is scheduled in the Town of Cincinnatus.

Dedicated to the late Chris Tennant, proceeds from the annual event are used to help youth make healthier choices about diet and exercise. The run and walk, which also promotes a don’t drink and drive message, is offered in both 5K and 10K distances.

The out-and-back 5K loop will begin at Cincinnatus Town Park. The 10K loop starts on a bridge within walking distance from the park and shares the same finish line as the 5K.

Registration closes at 7:30 Saturday morning. The run/walk starts at 8 a.m. at the park, located on Route 26.
