CORTLAND, NY (607NewsNow) — The Cortland Enlarged City School District is taking a layered approach to implementing a state-mandated smartphone ban in classrooms.

Superintendent Bob Edwards explained the district’s decision on the Aug. 15, 2025 edition of Ithaca’s Morning News, starting with Cortland High School.
