SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WHCU) — A convicted sex offender from Syracuse is returning to prison.

Federal prosecutors say Douglas Gustafson failed to update his sex offender registry, and also left a halfway house that was part of his post-supervision after getting released from prison in 2016.

The 36-year-old was sentenced Wednesday to 57 months in prison.
