WHITNEY POINT, N.Y. (WHCU) – State Police at Whitney Point are asking for help identifying suspects in a fraud investigation.
Authorities say a woman and a man stole checks out of a Friendsville, Pennsylvania mailbox and used them to buy items in Broome County. The pair allegedly used one of the checks at ACE Hardware in Whitney Point around 4:30 p.m. on May 27, 2023, and late at night at the Vestal Walmart on May 12, 2023. The man and woman were seen leaving the Vestal Walmart in a silver Nissan sedan.
